WTP 3 Ring Universal Normal Plate. - This is one of a number of bits in the Winning Tongue Plate range of horse bit designs, and is used in all riding disciplines and is rated by riders and trainers for the benefits this design brings. There is no other bit designer that has been able to achieve a more comfortable solution to providing comfortable tongue pressure instead of tongue relief to remove objections from the horse that has a sensitive tongue. The WTP plate prevents bit pinching and reduces tongue pressure by 85% proven under engineering conditions.
The three ring bit is ideal for producing an extra amount of leverage for keen horses who cause the rider to make an extra effort in pulling them up during fast work or rushing to fences during jumping activity that requires a little more holding on the way to a fence. Riders can reduce hand tiredness by letting the bit do the work and this can help the rider stay relaxed rather than tensing against the horses enthusiasm and a vicious cycle of a tense rider creating a tense horse is avoided.
The bit arms have limited travel reducing outer ring pressure preventing pain to the cheeks and lips by reducing the nut cracker action of the traditional snaffle.
The bit design geometry is angled to remove any pain to the roof, tongue and bars of the horses mouth during active rein take up and removing any chance of soft palate displacement.
This horse bit design has been known to assist with horses that are displaying signs of a busy mouth or objections to a bit, and where the tongue is being put over the bit or out of the side of the mouth.
Some horses use the tongue like a large cushion against the riders rein contact bringing bit pressure on the horses mouth. The horse uses the tongue to protect the bars of the mouth which provides the horse with a level of assurance against any sudden bar pressure which has a higher level of sensitivity acting on the horses jaw line gums which cover the sensitive jaw bone, and so the horse can be less apprehensive about the bit action, and look for the contact more readily.
