Calmer's are a relatively new product designed to help alleviate nervous behaviour and adrenaline release the horse as their natural flight mode instinct rises to the extreme when they are put in situations they cannot cope with. So calmer's are fed to horses and ponies displaying anxious behaviour, particularly those that cannot cope with stressful situations such as show attendance, travelling, and competing, or where separation anxiety from the herd is an issue.
