Its durable 840D silver nylon outer reflects sunlight to help prevent overheating, while the large waffle mesh lining encourages airflow beneath the rug, creating a cooler environment for the horse on hot days.
The rug offers a waterproof rating of over 5000 mm hydrostatic head and a breathability level exceeding 3000 g/24h/m², ensuring reliable protection from rain while allowing heat and moisture to escape. The sun‑reflective silver colour helps reduce heat absorption, and the waffle mesh lining keeps air circulating to maintain comfort during spring, summer, and mild autumn weather. The lightweight design makes it ideal for days when full‑weight turnouts are too warm, and it can be layered with Bucas Liners, Quilts, and Coolers when additional warmth is needed. The Sun Shower is machine washable at 30°C. For best results, Bucas Wash & Care Guidelines should be followed, using only Bucas Rug Wash and Bucas Rug Reconditioner.
