The Colin Miles 2.5 Ring is a great schooling bit with a 55mm centre piece generating greater tongue pressure. The rings give the horse something to play with and help keep the horses focus on the bit.
A Ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well creating leverage on the mouthpiece. As a result, the 2 ½ ring version is the softest version of ring bit. The ½ ring softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll.
Additionally, all Bombers bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:
- Oxidises easily
- Stimulates salivation
- Helps bit acceptance
- Is warm and sweet
