Myler MB04 Horse Bit - Dressage Legal
The MB04 is one of the most popular horses mouth pieces in the Myler range and it is a level 2 Myler system bit.
The Myler MBO4 mouthpiece comes in different styles of bit and its uses are infinite in terms of equestrian sport preference and horse breed type. Its redeeming feature is the design provides for a reasonable amount of tongue relief and independent rein movement to each side while the opposite hand remains stable due to the tilting action each side of the central barrel over the port area.
The MB 04 will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a small, ¾ inch port for tongue relief. The bit design has a wrapping action (no pinch or nutcracker). Independent Side Movement allows the rider the opportunity to maintain natural lift through the shoulder independently on each side. The MB04 acts on the tongue and the bars of the mouth, gently wrapping around the lips. This encourages the horse to flex, balance & relax through the jaw line.
The MB04 is ideal for a young horse as much as it is suitable for many other horses, its use is designed to encourage the horse to move with the bit in harmony in a relaxed outline and it will not pull through the mouth.
The MB04 low port comfort snaffle wraps around the outer lip as opposed to cutting into it which is so common with a conventional snaffle due to the nut cracker effect and the lack of ergonomic shape . As the bit has eggbutt type side pieces it is ideal for horses that have large lips that flood the available space between the mouth and bit side piece preventing pinching and allowing a snug fit to be achieved so that the bit does not slide across the mouth due to the available space.
The MB04 low port comfort snaffle is dressage legal.
