Neue Schule Verbindend Loose Ring Bit - Dressage Legal
NS have to be congratulated with this bit design as it works with so many horses and even horses that are a little sharper than you would like including competition horses that are exuberant as well as for use in dressage, showjumping, and eventing horses as much as they are useful in any other ridden situations.
This dressage legal snaffle is not severe, and encourages the horse to come off the forehand and up through the shoulder and so if you want the horse to come up in front by better engagement of the hind leg then this bit is a logical choice.
The Neue Schule Verbindend Loose Ring is a mild bit designed to promote self-carriage and straightness by helping to clarify the aids given by the rider through the reins. The Verbindend can help to develop a true outline and freedom through the shoulder. It will also help to eradicate tongue evasions by encouraging the horse to soften and relax through the jaw due to the space it creates for the tongue by acting over the bars of the mouth earlier and because of its angular design. Acceptance of the bit and the contact is enhanced by the fact that the horse does not become blocked by the bit over the tongue area. The ergonomically designed mouthpiece can also help to develop the flexion needed during lateral work and for smaller circles without the horse falling in due to better outside rein control and acceptance.
The Verbindend greatly clarifies and emphasises the signals through the rein while maintaining the horse in a relaxed and compliant disposition and the loose ring provides for a fast release for more sensitive control requirements.
Promotes self carriage, straightness and a true outline.
- Freedom through the shoulder is usually enhanced due to better hind leg activity coming through to improve balance.

Neue Schule bits are cast using the precision lost wax foundry process to provide high definition and accuracy of dimensions using the companies own Neue Schule Salox® Gold which is a high copper alloy mix which is used for its high thermal conductivity and anti-tarnishing properties. This metal is designed to quickly reach body temperature and so encourages relaxation and acceptance of the bit which is something stainless steel cannot do to encourage bit acceptance as quickly.
